When I went on spring break with the girls this past year, we of course had an awesome time, took great pictures of everyone and everything, yet maybe I had a little bit too much fun. I accidentally walked into the water with my camera.

Yep, that was smart on my part.

Fortunately, I managed to salvage the memory card along with our pics, but the camera itself was dunzo.

With my birthday coming up at the time, I knew my boyfriend had something up his sleeve as usual. He knows that I prefer practical gifts over really flashy, pointless things. You know, those stupid things I do not need.

Knowing what I needed, he got me a new camera. He read the Canon Powershot S95 reviews and knew this was the perfect point and shoot for me. At first, I was not so sure about it since my past few cameras were pink, my favorite color, and this S95 is only available in black. Colors aside, I knew needed something of fairly high quality for a point and shoot. And good thing my boyfriend knows me so well.

This addition to the Powershot line is high quality and is one of the closest point and shoots you can get to a DSLR for its price. Even though it only comes in black, it is as sleek as sleek can be.

Now, I am more careful with my camera. Of course, I always take it with me when I go out with the girls and have the screen covered with a screen protector, so it does not get scratched as it is moving around in my bag.

Basically, this Canon Powershot S95 goes everywhere I go, and it always makes me think of my boyfriend :)

It is hands down the best camera I have owned so far, and I have been through a fair number of point and shoots in my life.
